Description

This model is a collaboration with tyviania.

Content of this release

  • face model from the LoL cinematic
  • one original outfit
  • more than 5 original outfits, with complete color UI controls
  • staff
  • particle hair for hair/eyebrows/eyelids/body hair (with UI support)
  • dedicate genitals bones
  • cloth physics for breasts/bottom
  • several corrective shape keys
  • dedicated MustardUI

Requirements

The requirements below are a guideline. The model might work also on pc which are not meeting the requirements. In fact, I do not have a lot of pc where to test the models!

Minimum for 2K renderings:

  • at least 8 Gb of RAM
  • a GPU with >=4GB RAM

Optimal requirements to avoid rendering out of memory crashes with 4K textures:

  • 16 Gb of RAM
  • RTX 2080 for OptiX renderings, a >=8Gb GPU RAM for GPU renderings

Note: These requirements might vary in future updates due to new optimizations, but do not expect miracles.

Instructions

  • It's mandatory to install the Blender addon rig_tools.zip provided in this release (remember to restart Blender before using the model), which enables the IK rig, etc.. The UI will check this and raise a warning if the addon is not correctly installed and enabled. If you are not sure how to install the addon, google it!

  • The textures are provided in separate .zip files. You should download the 4K textures only if you have at least 16GB, otherwise Blender might crash during renderings. We advise to use 4K textures only for renderings. Moreover downscaled textures (2K) are provided, which should also work on any system. To use the textures, simply unpack the zipped texture folder in the same folder of the model. To switch from 4K to 2K, or the contrary, just be sure that the folder you want to use is named "texture", and rename the other.

  • Do not delete the lux_rig_fist action, otherwise the fist controller will not work.

  • All the custom properties are in the new UI. A tutorial is available at:
    https://github.com/Mustard2/MustardUI/wiki/Tutorial

  • The UI should be available after appending the model without any further action. If not, try to save and restart the Blender file where you appended the model.

  • The model use Corrective Smooth modifiers. If you find some odd clipping while posing the model, try to disable them in the UI.

  • Check this FAQ if you are having Out of Memory errors during renderings: https://sites.google.com/view/mustardsfm/support/faq#h.sz7zz5ll3a3s

  • I decided not to implement the physics myself because there are tools which are way better than any attempt I could make. :)
    Some examples:
    https://github.com/dskjal/Rigidbody-Bone
    https://blenderartists.org/t/wiggle-bones-a-jiggle-bone-implementation-for-2-8/1154726
While I do not provide technical support for these tools, I'm happy to help setting up basic physics if you need help.

  • If you have any problem, try to check
    https://sites.google.com/view/mustardsfm/support/instructions
    https://sites.google.com/view/mustardsfm/support/faq
If you can't find the solution to your problem, or you would like to report a bug, you can contact me (contacts at the end).

Just a note: all the outfits except the armature are made by me (models and textures), and these are my first attempts at making original outfits (and textures). If you have any suggestion/feedback, they would be appreciated. Please let me know also if you think they're terrible, if you think so. I will try different approaches in future models then. :)

Were you able to find the textures hidden in the page?

I'll look into it!

Ok, I think the problem is the uncompatibility of Eevee with Principled Hair BSDF (https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/render/shader_nodes/shader/hair_principled.html). I will fix it in a new version, making a new material for Eevee.

I don't really have plans for Akali or Ahri, as some models are already available. :)

It's an Arhoangel model, you'll have to pledge to his/her patreon.

Pretty hilarious they made a nude mesh for the original model xD

In fact they didn't. I put the face on a nude mesh and matched the proportions using the original armor outfit as reference.

Yeah you are right, the included body mesh was quite basic, head hacking is the better way

Wasn't until I checked the comments section that League released these models for free from the cinematic. Sucks that Sylas' link no longer works but I can't wait to experiment with this and the other Lux model.

Any tips on increasing performance while posing? Even with forced low resolution and strict simplify settings its still extremely laggy and choppy. GTX1080ti, 64gb RAM

While posing, do not enable hair physics (disable hair/eyelids, etc..). You can do that from the UI. Moreover, be sure to disable all modifiers (body and outfits) in the UI while posing, and enable them while rendering.

Check the UI options, there's one panel for hair: https://twitter.com/MustardSFM/status/1284123481085550595

Is there any chance you could replace her vagoo with the one you used in your aloy model? Luxs vagoo mesh sadly looks very unrealistic and is really difficult to make a good looking render of it. It kinda looks like those Daz3D uncanny ones

I'll see what I can do. And yes, it's Daz3D :)

Do you have the textures for Vi, Caityln, and Kai sa by chance? Or did you make the model's body/face/hair textures yourself and they aren't the official ones?

did i overlook some controlls or do her eyelids deform in a weird way when trying to close them

It's disabled by default to speed up viewport renderings. :) Just enable it for previews and renderings.

Why I can't click to hair mesh part?
Reply • Aug. 11, 2020, 3:48 p.m. - dddkhakha3
|
Because they're not mesh hair, but particle hair. You can move them either with forces (https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/physics/particles/emitter/force_field.html) - might be the best solution for stills - or with full hair dynamics, which is good for animations. You can find the latter in the hair particle settings. Be sure that the hair are starting out of Lux skin to avoid instabilities!

Is there any way to export it? I mean I want to export to another program (if you don't mind).
Reply • Aug. 12, 2020, 1:48 a.m. - dddkhakha3
|
Sure, you can do whatever you want. :) You can try finding the particle modifiers, and Apply them. You will obtain some mesh that can be exported as .obj files (or whatever format you want).
