This rig is working in Blender starting from version 2.78.

Install and activate the Blenrig addon: https://cloud.blender.org/p/blenrig/56965fc3c379cf44546120e1 How to load the rig: Ctrl-Shift-O to open file browser. Find and double-click Christie_rig.blend, go to Group folder, select both groups and hit “Link from Library.” Blender will load the rig into your scene. Now, hit Ctrl-Shift-P, and select “ChristieHigh,” Blender will create a proxy instance of the rig. While hovering your cursor on the viewport, hit “M” on your keyboard, and the Move to layer operator will pop up. Shift-click to the layer 2 (next to the highlit square) so two squares are lit– it will allow you to access the controls from the 1st and 2nd layer. Then select “ChristieProxy” in the Outliner, and move it to the second layer. Now you can easily switch between High-res and Low-res models by pressing 1 and 2 on your keyboard.
